School Crossing Areas

SCHOOL CROSSING AREAS

                     crossingguard

Please do not stop/park on or near a school crossing.

It makes it difficult for students to cross safely when the Crossing Guards line of vision is obstructed by stopped/parked cars.

For the safety of the children and the Crossing Guard please obey the streetstopping/parking regulations.

Safe Arrival Program

phone_winceIf your child is going to be absent or late, we would appreciate a call to the school at (905) 433-8910.

Please leave a message on the answering machine or speak directly to Mrs. Mountain.  Daily student absences are recorded by the home room teachers.  When a pupil is not in class and the parent has not already contacted the school, we will phone home to ensure the child's safety.  Every student who is late must sign in at the office before going to their classroom.  When a student is to leave the school grounds before regular dismissal, they are to report to the office and sign out.  The parent/guardian will pick up the child in the office.  The Education Act requires that a note, explaining the reason for the absence be sent to the school signed by a parent or guardian.

Thank you for your continued support.

Allergy Alert!!!

no_peanuts_winceA reminder that we no longer welcome ANY nuts or nut products at school. Please check the labels on the food items you send to school to make sure they are nut-free. Unfortunately that includes Nutella and Peanut butter or "WOW-butter". We understand that this makes lunches more challenging for parents, but thank you for your co-operation and for realizing that another child's life-threatening allergy is a major concern.
